How this works — and why it's private
- Auto-find renders a few pages at low resolution and compares them tile by tile. Anything that looks identical on every page — and isn't blank paper — is proposed as a watermark you can accept in one tap.
- Text watermarks like DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL are located in the real page text, then deleted from the page content stream, so they can't be selected or copied back out — not simply hidden behind a box.
- Annotation-based watermarks (Adobe stamps, sticky notes, highlights) are removed by clearing each page's annotation list.
- Burned-in watermarks (part of the page picture) are covered with an opaque box. Use “Match page” to sample the paper colour around your box so the patch blends in.
- Everything runs in your browser through WebAssembly PDF libraries. Nothing is uploaded — check your network tab to verify.
