How this works

The auditor compares two views of your PDF: the low-level object catalog (via pdf-lib) and the rendered operator list (via pdfjs). Anything one library alone would miss — like text still selectable under drawn-on black boxes — shows up when we cross-reference the two.

    • Text extraction reveals words underneath filled shapes.
    • Metadata inspection surfaces authors, producers and timestamps.
    • Catalog inspection flags JavaScript, embedded files and form fields.
    • Nothing is uploaded. The audit runs in your browser and stops when you close the tab.
